Indy Pride Guide

The Indy Pride Guide is a mobile-first web app built for one of the most logistically complex days on Indianapolis's calendar: a festival that draws tens of thousands of attendees across an expansive footprint, a full-scale parade of nearly 200 units and vehicles, and a sprawling entertainment program that runs from morning to night. Designed to live in your hand rather than on a screen at home, every layout decision prioritizes speed, legibility, and one-thumb usability in bright outdoor conditions. Interactive festival maps give attendees an immediate sense of the grounds, with dedicated accessibility wayfinding woven in as a first-class feature rather than an afterthought. Live weather data pulled via API keeps the experience grounded in real conditions, while vendor and amenity wayfinding helps visitors orient themselves without hunting for signage. The parade section surfaces route, sequence, and timing in a format that makes sense whether you're a first-time spectator or a longtime local. At the heart of the app is a fully personalized schedule builder spanning two stages and a packed entertainment lineup, with a live-updating "On Now" callout so no one misses a moment they came for. The result is a tool that does exactly what the best festival infrastructure should: disappear into the background, reduce friction, and let people be fully present for the joy of it.
